District Pinewood Derby a huge success!

Over 200 racers gathered at Luther Brookdale Chevrolet to compete in the Annual District Derby. Special thanks to Luther Brookdale for hosting the event, Troop 299 for running concessions, and Troop 211 for taping the entire event. The day could not have been made possible without the many hours devoted by our volunteers.

Get in the Game with GeoCaching

For the 100th Anniversary Celebration, the BSA is tapping into the fun and excitement of geocaching and inviting you along.

Through Get in the Game! geocaching events, Scouts and non-Scouts alike will search for prizes in this fast-paced outdoor quest. It's a great way to share Scouting skills-and adventure-with today's tech savvy kids.

As a Council we will be kicking off the "Cache to Eagle" activity by hiding geocaches to showcase Eagle Service Projects in all Districts of Northern Star Council.

Our Advancement committees are gathering up the information now and you can look for new geocaches to be published with "Cache to Eagle" in the name soon. Look for the Get in the Game! booth booth at StarCamp for opportunities to try out geocaching. Also, watch for more Get in the Game! events coming soon.

Visit http://scouting.org/100years/100years/Geocaching.aspx for more information.

If you are an active geocacher and want to help with placing caches in your District, please contact Bill Nissen at greywolfandwildrice@gmail.com.
