2010 Centenial District

Northern Lights is a 2010 Centennial District. Thank you to all our volunteers countless hours of dedicated service to our programs and our kids to make 2010, Our centennial year, a huge success!

In the final analysis it is not what you do for your children but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human -Ann Landers

Nothing do for children is ever wasted. - Garrison Keillor

Boy Scout Ice Man/Klondike and Cub Scout Ice fishing derby huge successes

The Iceman/Klondike held on Jan 21-22 allowed the scouts to test their winter skills. Despite the chilly weather, fun was had by all making snow shelters, testing snow snakes, sled races and of course plenty of food to keep the scouts happy.

Special thanks to Joe Sears, John Olson, Jason Zeman and Len Linton. Look forward to next year's special Klondike event hosted by Troop 582!

On Jan 29th, over 300 people showed up to Medicine Lake to enjoy a morning of ice fishing. Not many fish were a biting but the kids managed to find other things to keep the excitement high. Special thanks to Greg Fackler for again hosting the event.
