Where: Central Park 8440 Regent Ave N Brooklyn Park 
Who: All Cub Scouts and family members 
Cost The games. races and root beer floats are FREE! 
Gathering games and picnic start at 6:00 p.m. and our Races start at 700 pm.! Back by popular demand Root beer floats will be served after the last race! This year we will be having races for siblings and parents so make sure the whole family is revved up. 
For the Picnic that starts at 6:00 p.m. You can bring your charcoal and items to cook on one of the parks grills or we will have hot dogs. chips and a beverage for sale. Dens are welcome to coordinate amongst themselves for dinner. Check the Northern Lights District Website for the rules of the race.

  • Does your unit charge dues? 
  • Do you have to pay for camping? 
If you said yes to either of those questions, you need to talk to Marty Paulat. Marty is Northern Light's District Popcorn Chair and this fall he wants to make sure that your scout earns his way to an entire year of Scouting. 
Several families and a few units already fund their entire year of Scouting with the Popcorn Sate. and you can too. One fundraiser in the fall witl power your way through the entire year. over 70% goes back to local Scouting and the risk is zero. So unless you like to writing checks every month for various programs give Marty a caLL today. National Jamboree Scouts, there are special popcorn perks for you so pay attention once you sign up to leam more. 


Northern Lights District is excited and sad to see its Professional Scouter, Senior District Executive Michael Gabiou get promoted Michael accepted a position within Northern Star Council leading the outreach team that does our After School Scouting program within the metro area. 
Please welcome our new professional at Next Round Table. (At time of press deadline the new Professional hasn't been identified) 


Northern Lights is needing your help on September 22! 6 to 7 p.m.
On September 22 in Northern Lights District we will be welcoming over 500 new families into Scouting. We cannot do this without you. Please look for more information about how you can help. It is only two hours but it will change the lives of the youth around you! We are lucky to have Dr. Bob returning as our School Night for Scouting lead. Fall Camporee is Robotics this year at Rum River Scout Camp. 
This great event is open to all Boy Scouts and any Webelos who are camping with a Troop. We are very excited to have Joe Sears running the Camporee this fall and hope you'll be able to make it In the near future Resistance leader John Connor will need skilled Heros to help fight Skynet Sign up today on-line at the District Website.
