Tuesday September 19 is the biggest day in Cub Scout recruitment. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your friends and your son’s friends signed up for fun with you. On Tuesday September 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. we will be recruiting out of every elementary school in Northern Star Council. On this night we will even be trading new applications for scouts for a super cool glow in the dark T-Shirt and a glow in the dark Frisbee. As time gets closer be sure to ask your Cub Master or Committee Chair what schools you are signed up to at that night!

After everything is done, we will be meeting at Broadway Pizza in Maple Grove to trade applications to T-Shirts and more Frisbees.

With the school year right around the corner that means the start to another Scouting season. Recharter is corning up in November and will all of these Scouts corning into your pack or troop it is important to have everything ready to go so they know what they're stepping into. Is your calendar planned out for the next 12 to 18 months? Do you have a budget so a Scout knows how much popcorn he needs to sell so he can pay his own way?

Be sure to have your unit's budget calendar ready to go along with a communication plan for your unit. These need to be into your commissioner this fall to make sure you qualify for JTE.

Thank you to all Units who participated in FOS this year! Collectively, we were able to raise over $90,000 to support local Scouting. The Unit recognition items are now available at the Scout shop for all units that achieved their Friends of Scouting goal this year. A special shout out toall units who not only achieved their base goal but also their stretch goal.

Please make sure to have someone from your unit at the upcoming August and November Roundtables to receive your recognition flag pole medallion.
